Welcome!

If you’ve found your way here — welcome.

This little corner of the internet is where I’ll be sharing a mix of things: thoughts about the beauty and service industry, lessons I’ve learned over the years, pieces of advice I wish someone had given me earlier… and occasionally the books that are currently keeping me up far too late at night (yes, the spicy ones).

I’ve spent over a decade working in the beauty industry — from corporate environments to running my own businesses — and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that the real heart of service-based work isn’t just skill.

It’s people.

It’s the relationships we build.

The trust clients place in us.

The quiet moments in the chair when someone finally relaxes and feels taken care of.

This blog is where I want to explore that side a little more.

Some posts will be thoughtful. Some will be practical. Some might just be me sharing a moment from the week or a book recommendation that I couldn’t keep to myself.

If you work in a customer-facing role — whether in beauty or another service industry — my hope is that you’ll find something here that feels relatable, supportive, and maybe even a little reassuring.

Because building a meaningful career in service work isn’t just about doing more.

Sometimes it’s about slowing down, reflecting, and remembering why we started in the first place.

Thanks for being here.

Tegan

Now if you need me, I’ll be working, thinking about work… or reading a spicy romance novel I absolutely should have put down three chapters ago.
